Where Do We Ship?

We currently only ship within the US. We know some of you are reaching out from Canada and other countries, and we're really sorry about that. We're hoping to offer more shipping options in the future, so fingers crossed!

About the Hazardous Material Label

You might notice your order is marked as "hazardous material" and has to ship ground. Don't worry, that's strictly for shipping safety purposes and has nothing to do with your health. Our air and fabric sprays contain alcohol that's naturally fermented from grains, and since alcohol is flammable under extreme temperatures, it has to be disclosed for shipping rules. The products themselves are totally safe, the label is just for the carriers.

General

Is It Safe for My Pets?

Cats and Dogs

Our products are safe to use in the same household as healthy cats and dogs! A veterinarian has reviewed our ingredient lists and dosages to make sure everything checks out. We just recommend not spraying directly onto any animals. If you'd like to chat with your vet about anything specific, we share the full ingredient list for each scent on our website.

Essential Oils and Pet Safety

We get this question a lot, and we totally understand the concern. Our essential oils aren't in concentrated form. They're mixed with plant extracts to create a fragrance blend, and then that blend is diluted in a water base. Since they're diluted (not concentrated), and we've had a vet review everything, our air and fabric fresheners are safe to use in homes with healthy cats and dogs. Just stick with not spraying directly on the animals.

Birds, Reptiles, and Small Pets

For birds, reptiles, and smaller pets, we recommend a bit of extra caution since these animals can be more sensitive. It's always a great idea to check with your vet first. Our products are definitely safe for healthy cats and dogs, but for smaller or more delicate pets, getting professional advice is the way to go.

Using a Diffuser Around Pets

Our scents are safe to use in homes with healthy dogs and cats. If you're using a diffuser, just place it in a spot where your pet can't knock it over, and make sure the area is open and well-ventilated with the door open so your pet can leave the room if they want to. This gives them the choice to step away from the fragrance whenever they like.

Is It Safe for Kids and Babies?

We actually started Grow Fragrance to have a safer home fragrance option for our own families. Our scents are 100% plant-based and completely toxin free. We follow strict guidelines to ensure our ingredients are free from carcinogens, mutagens, and reproductive toxins. The full ingredient list for each scent is available on our website if you want to review everything or chat with your pediatrician about anything specific.

Is It Safe During Pregnancy or While Breastfeeding?

Our scents are 100% plant-based and toxin free, and we follow strict guidelines to ensure our ingredients are free from carcinogens, mutagens, and reproductive toxins. That said, if you have any medical questions, we always recommend checking with your doctor just to be safe. They know your specific situation best.

What Does "100% Plant-Based" Actually Mean?

All of our products are Certified 100% Plant-Based and toxin free. Unlike the term "all natural" which isn't regulated, we have an official Certified 100% Plant-Based certification from the USDA. This means every single ingredient we use is proven to come from a plant source — not petroleum. Every ingredient passes a test developed by the US Department of Agriculture to verify it's actual plant material.

What Exactly Are We Free From?

We're free from parabens, phthalates, carcinogens, mutagens, and reproductive toxins. We know these ingredients matter to you, so we made sure they're not anywhere in our formulas. Period.

Are Your Products Cruelty-Free?

Yes! We're certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny, which means we don't test on animals. And it's not just us — none of our ingredient suppliers test on animals either. We're committed to keeping fragrance kind.

One of the things that makes Grow Fragrance unique is that every single one of our scents is made with 100% plant-based ingredients: real essential oils and plant extracts. And because we're working with nature, each scent has its own personality when it comes to strength. Some plants just naturally produce bolder fragrances, while others are softer and more subtle. It's actually one of the things we love most about what we do!

Why Scent Strength Varies

Our fragrances come directly from plants, and every plant has its own natural potency. Some essential oils and plant extracts are naturally bold and fill a room quickly, while others are more delicate and create a lighter, more ambient experience.

Our Scents by Strength

Light & Gentle

Blondewood and Golden Grove are our lightest, most gentle scents. These are perfect if you love a soft, subtle fragrance that's there without being overwhelming. They're great for bedrooms, bathrooms, or anywhere you want something calm and understated. If you're sensitive to strong scents or just prefer things on the quieter side, these are your go-to.

Medium Strength

Woodland Sage, Hibiscus Tea, and Linen fall right in the sweet spot. They have a nice presence without being overpowering, you'll definitely notice them, but they won't hit you over the head. These are great all-around scents for living rooms, kitchens, or anywhere in between.

Bold & Room-Filling

Pacific Driftwood, Bamboo, and Midnight Orchid are some of our strongest scents. These are the ones that really fill a room. If you love walking into a space and immediately noticing the fragrance, these are for you. A little goes a long way with these, so you might find you don't need as many sprays to get the effect you're looking for.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Scent

No matter which scent you choose, here are a few ways to make the most of it:

  • Spray on fabrics: curtains, pillows, rugs, and linens hold onto the scent much longer than spraying into the air alone. This is especially helpful for our lighter scents.
  • Layer it: using both a spray and a candle in the same scent creates a fuller, longer-lasting fragrance experience.
  • Room size matters: a lighter scent might be perfect for a small bathroom but feel too subtle in a large open-concept space. Our bolder scents tend to shine in bigger rooms.

Our Bestsellers

If you're curious what our most popular scents are, our bestsellers are Woodland Sage, Golden Grove, Blondewood, and Pacific Driftwood. Which is fun because they span the full range from gentle to bold, so there's really something for everyone! Want to try all four? We put them together in our Bestsellers Spray Pack so you can experience them all without having to choose.

Not Sure Which Strength Is Right for You?

Everyone's nose is different, and what feels "just right" to one person might feel too strong or too light to someone else. If you're not sure where to start, our discovery sets are a great way to try a few and find your favorites. And if you ever want a personal recommendation, just reach out, we'd love to help you find your perfect scent!

Smells like nature because it comes from nature — certified 100% plant-based ingredients

Grow Fragrance is USDA Certified 100% Biobased. You can find our certified listing on the United States Department of Agriculture website under Household Supplies via this link:

https://www.biopreferred.gov/BioPreferred/faces/catalog/Catalog.xhtml#

Every ingredient in our formulas is derived from plant materials, and we believe in full transparency: we share a complete ingredient list for every product, so you always know exactly what you're bringing into your home.

Beyond being better for the planet, we think plant-based materials simply smell better. There's a depth and complexity to botanically-derived fragrance that synthetic petrochemical ingredients can't replicate, a realness you can actually sense.

Yes! You can find our products available for wholesale on Faire.com. If you're not yet a Faire customer, sign up through our link at https://faire.com/direct/growfragrance to receive 50% off your first order along with 1 year of free shipping!

With Grow Fragrance, you can rest assured that you're getting:

  • 100% Plant-Based Ingredients
    • We only use high quality essential oils and plant extracts. Big box stores claim their products are "made with essential oils" but don't tell you how much! This could mean they use just 1% essential oils and 99% toxic synthetic chemicals. We are USDA Certified 100% Biobased!
  • Toxin Free Scents that are safe for your home
    • We're proud of our ingredients and share every single one, including fragrance ingredients. Grow Fragrance contains:
      • NO Parabens
      • NO Phthalates
      • NO Synthetic Petrochemicals
      • NO Carcinogens
      • NO Reproductive Toxins
      • NO Mutagens
  • Made in the USA
    • We're a small business and make our products in small batches in Durham, NC.
  • No Animal Testing
    • We're Certified Cruelty Free by Leaping Bunny! The Leaping Bunny Program is the gold-standard in cruelty free certification. This certification means that Grow Fragrance AND our suppliers do not test on animals.

We love hearing from you! Please email us for the fastest reply to any question including orders and general Grow Fragrance inquiries. We respond to all emails within 1 business day.

We're available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm EST.

When used according to directions, our sprays can last for several hours, even overnight. Spritzing fabrics such as curtains, rugs, pillows and linens also helps the scent linger longer. Please test a small area first for delicate fabrics.

Room sprays and candles found in big box stores have a strong 'in your face' scent but contain many chemicals, some of which are potentially harmful to our health. We do not add any chemicals to make our scents stronger or last longer in the air. Grow is 100% plant-based, toxin free and safe for your home.

Since each scent contains its own unique blend of plant ingredients, there are natural variations in strength and persistence between fragrances.

The good news is we generally have a scent for every preference!

Grow Fragrance is safe to use in the same household as healthy cats and dogs and we've had a veterinarian review our ingredients to check for safety. We do not recommend spraying directly onto any animals. Smaller pets such as birds and reptiles always require extra caution and we recommend discussing with your vet first for these pets. We share the full ingredient list for each product on our website so that you can review if you have any questions about your unique pet!

Though Grow Fragrance is safe to use in your home, there are a couple of things to be mindful of:

  1. The natural oils in Grow Fragrance can build-up over lots of repeated use, particularly in small spaces. Simply clean with soapy water.
  2. Avoid spraying air+fabric freshener directly on clear plastics, as it can cause haziness.
  3. If you are allergic to a plant ingredient that is in Grow Fragrance, there is a chance you could have an allergic reaction to our air + fabric freshener. Check the ingredients and avoid if you have an allergy.

3 Ways To Know A Product is REALLY Natural
‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍
Many of us want products that are safer, simpler, and closer to nature but some products that claim to be, actually aren't.
‍‍‍‍‍
Natural food, beauty, and home care products are getting more popular every day and while some of these products are truly natural and safe, many are not. Because there aren’t clear rules about what natural really is, here is a little checklist to help!
‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍

➞ Step 1. Read The Claim Carefully And Watch For Greenwashing

In the hectic pace of modern life, we don’t always have the time to read carefully, and some companies take advantage of that.

Some examples:

“contains essential oil” often means 1% essential oils and 99% synthetic petrochemicals

“nature identical” means synthetic chemicals made in a lab to replicate ones that occur in nature
‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍

➞ Step 2. Make Sure The Company is Transparent about ALL Ingredients

Unless the company is transparent about all the ingredients in a product, you can’t know for sure what’s in it and whether its natural. When ingredients are public, organizations like EWG (Environmental Working Group) can analyze the ingredients and verify that it is safe. It seems (and is often true) that companies who won’t share this information may have something to hide.
‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍

➞ Step 3. Make Sure The Product is 3rd Party Verified

Without clear rules, it is best not to trust but to verify. Look for brands that share reputable third-party tests to show that a product is plant-based or bio-based.

Sprays

Since we use essential oils and plant-based ingredients, occasionally they can clog the nozzle!

Sometimes sprayers just need priming and you can do this by shaking the bottle vigorously,
then pumping the trigger a few extra times in a row.

Hope this helps! And if not, we’re always happy to send a replacement sprayer nozzle.

Here's a quick video to show you the steps:

We have a recommended shelf life of one year for best fragrance quality. Since we use natural plant ingredients, the fragrance will gradually change over time but it will not spoil due to the alcohol in our sprays. They will preserve longest if stored unopened in a cool, dark place that's not exposed to direct sunlight.

An all natural claim was at the heart of creating our product when we initially began our work, however as we dug into it, we soon realized that a clear and universally agreed upon definition of "all natural" doesn't currently exist. The term all natural means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, which makes it difficult to understand and confidently choose what we bring into our homes.

Because of this, we decided that we would build our product on something that could be clearly understood, defined and validated. Being 100% plant-based means that every ingredient in our product comes from a plant source and this is certified through independent lab testing.

Grow Fragrance is USDA Certified 100% Biobased and you can find our certificate here:

https://www.biopreferred.gov/BioPreferred/faces/catalog/Catalog.xhtml

To use Grow Fragrance:

  • 5-6 sprays for a bedroom or office

Candles

Once you have your candle vessel, you can quickly and easily get new candle refills here:

https://www.growfragrance.com/collections/candle-fragrances

Hand-poured in small batches, each candle is made with 100% plant-based fragrances, lead-free unbleached cotton wicks and pure soy wax for a clean burn.

Our 6.5 oz candles have a 40-45 hour burn time.

Our 8 oz 3-wick candles have a 35-40 hour burn time.

We're making some exciting updates to our candle lineup! As part of that, our 6.5 oz single-wick candles are gradually being retired to make room for what's next. Here's a little more about what's happening and what to look forward to.

Why Are They Going Away?

As we've grown, we've been focusing on expanding the products that our customers love most. Our 3-wick candles have become a huge favorite, they create a more room-filling fragrance experience.

We're also really excited about our upcoming waterless diffuser, which will offer a completely new way to enjoy Grow Fragrance at home. To give these products the attention they deserve, we've made the tough decision to phase out the 6.5oz candles.

Can I Still Get One?

While we still have some 6.5oz candles in stock, once they're gone, they're gone. If you have a favorite, now's a great time to grab one before they sell out. Check our website for current availability.

What Should I Try Instead?

Our 8oz 3-wick candles are a wonderful upgrade! They have an average burn time of 35 hours and create a more full, room-filling scent experience. Many customers who've made the switch tell us they actually prefer them!

And if you're looking for something totally new, keep an eye out for our waterless diffuser launching in August. It's a clean, consistent way to enjoy our plant-based scents without an open flame. You can join the diffuser waitlist here to be the first to know when it's available.

Diffuser- Coming Soon

We're so excited to share that we've been working on something new! Our very own waterless oil diffuser! It's not available just yet, but here's everything we know so far.

What Is the Grow Fragrance Diffuser?

Our upcoming diffuser is a waterless diffuser that uses nebulizing technology to turn our plant-based fragrances into a fine mist, without water or heat. This preserves the integrity of the natural ingredients and delivers a clean, consistent scent. There's no water tank to refill and no heat element. It's a truly waterless, heatless diffuser.

When Is It Available?

The plan is to launch the diffuser in August 2026 if everything goes to plan!

How Do I Get One?

Join the waitlist to be the first to know when it's available: https://www.growfragrance.com/pages/diffuser

How Is It Different From Other Diffusers?

Most diffusers on the market use water or heat to disperse fragrance. Our diffuser uses nebulizing technology instead, which means it works without water or heat. This preserves the quality of our 100% plant-based fragrances and delivers a cleaner, more consistent scent experience.

What About Refills?

The diffuser will use separate oil refill cartridges that you can purchase in your favorite Grow Fragrance scents. This means you'll be able to switch between scents whenever you're in the mood for something different. More details on scent options and refill pricing will be available closer to launch!

Is It Safe for Pets?

Our scents are safe to use in homes with healthy dogs and cats. We recommend placing the diffuser in an area where pets cannot knock it over, and using it in an open, well-ventilated area with the door open so pets can leave the room if desired. For birds, reptiles, or other small pets, we recommend extra caution and checking with a vet first.
